Reverse Thinking

Science says every human being create around 20,000 to 25,000 of thoughts or even more a day. Many of them come for a fraction of second and leave. But few stays back with us for short or long period of time. Every one acts in Life according to their thoughts. However thoughts decide our destiny and creates our surrounding. So, need to be very very careful while forming them and giving shelter to them.

When some information/sense enters into our mind through the five entrances, which are the five cognitive senses panch jnanendriyas,(eyes, years, nose, tongue and skin) mind will welcome it and convert a thought out of it.

Thoughts are mainly categorised into two. One is positive and the other one is negative. If the positive thought stays for a long time in our mind then it will become our strength. The strength is nothing but our will power, perfection, and skill. If our attitude is positive then nothing is impossible for us. Then we accept everything positively and react positively.

If the thought is negative then it will turn our mind into devil’s workshop. It tries to control us, our behaviour, our actions, etc… without our notice. Negativity is pain, restlessness, unhealthiness, depleting energy. If most of our energy is wasted in handling pain then obviously we will give up when new situation arises. When these negative thoughts are combined with feelings they will take a dangerous form.

Fear

Fear is an out come of weak confidence, negativity about us. Fear comes mainly due to our past experiences, which we are carrying as luggage in a back pack always or due to imaginary and uncertain future. We create images (specifically bad images) of what could happen in future, though it is not reality yet, or carry impressions of the past on which we do not have any control, but, we start acting as if it happened already or surely going to happen. In this case, we multiply our pain every time thinking about the same again and again. This will weaken our energy further down. Many a times make us to run away from the situation.

Stress

Stress is one form of damage we create ourselves and put it to someone else’s name. Physical stress does less harm than the mental stress. It is we, who, is allowing it to take shelter in our mind and body. Because, stress is in our Life is there because, we try to correct others rather than we ourselves, who is the main reason (our thought process) in many cases. We saw people screaming like, "Why he is doing like this? Doesn’t he understand I don’t like it? Why she does not act like this?" All these kinds of thinking cause stress in our mind.

We try to dictate others behaviour all the time verbally and as well as through vibrations of our thoughts. We believe that our happiness lays in others reaction. "If you act according to my wish then I feel happy". In our parent child relationship we always try to write child’s scripts. We never let them take their own small small decisions. We always think, we being elders have more experience about what is right and what is wrong. This doesn't mean think extreem left. We sould seek the way to understand and make others understand without much jugling. Otherwise, it causes the stress.

Worry

We all herd that Chinta Chita Samaan Hota Hai (Worry is like coffin). But, still we worry. Why? Because, we replaced our care and concern about some one or something with worry. And then we say worrying is natural, because, we love and care. The thought turned into worry will take us to chita (coffin) in the end.  We feel bad if others do not value our worry. Are we doing right?

Say our child has come home late today. We will ask him, “We are so much worried about you, why didn’t you make a call or inform us that you will be late?” He tells that, “Why you worry so much?” Then we tell, we Love and care for you. It means we are feeding in child’s mind that worrying means Loving and caring. After this the child also spends his energy in worrying about others behaviour or something which is not under his control.

Tension

Most of us think that tension is acceptable. Many believe “it brings good results; as it is alarming, triggering technique. Without tension we cannot do better, etc…” In fact, we are all careless, lazy that's the reason we think so. In reality, with peace of mind and determination we can do better. Only thing is we never tryed it out and practised it. It is a wrong perception that tension will enhance our capacity/performance. The truth is, it will reduce our concentration and confidence.

Targets or deadlines are required but, they can be met with relaxed mind. We believe that reason for our tension is others. So, either we want to correct them or we keep running from them/it, but, at last when we solve it ourselves after so much of run and pain, which could have been achieved with relaxation. In tension we tend to do many things at once, where as we create chaos at the end.

Negativity

The biggest negative point we all deem is others are reason for our inability, tension, worry or the circumstances make me numb, I always perform better but, it is because of other’s presence push my energy level down. Remember one thing no, one else can harm our confidence unless we allow them. We never do reverse thinking, like, even I could be wrong, I could have handled it smoothly, etc. and find ways to improve on it. Because, it easy to blame. But, we forget that we are commiting injustice to our inner power, our soul.

Overcoming these negative energies

To over come all these negativities, First of all we need to have enough courage to accept things. Then should use our sixth sense to overcome judge and correct ourselves to overcome the thought barrier.

After that leave completely the thoughts like, “we are always correct, we cannot think wrong, etc…” Think for a moment that even we can be wrong, but, wish to correct now. This should be the basis for any change and basis of all our thought process. There is nothing wrong in accepting and correcting ourselves however old we are. We should work on them consciously improving them throughout our Life…!

Through all the above forms of negative thoughts we understand one thing is that our thoughts are contributing the most to our problems, emotions and feelings. If we have positive thought flow always then it is well and good. If we have negative thoughts, we should sit back sometimes alone leaving back our age old thinking patterns and wrong belief systems and cross check whether our thoughts leading me in a right direction? Is my thinking pattern is inviting all these problems, which are just my imaginary creation, and which never exist in reality?

A thought followed by its impact can either make or break our whole Life. So, we should regularly check our thought process and check our actions. If something is fishy then should stop and correct it. In any case, we should try not to allow our thoughts to be obstacle in our growth, view, happiness. We should not discouraged if we fail initially. We should strive to apply it regualrly in before forming any new thought. It is tough, but, also possible. This in a long run will ensure that what we get in return is also of the same positivity, Love and happiness.
