Today, the world is very small. We have many communication channels. We have telecom, internet, social networks and so many things to get in touch with each other. On other hand we have so much of information, knowledge bank, just a finger click/knock away. On the other side we have so many friends, relatives. These are all there to know the world, increase our knowledge quotient (KQ) and to keep us 24/7 informed, alert and happy. But, then we are unknown about one thing, the dearest, nearest and the true well wisher, whom we neglected completely, is ‘Me’, ‘My Soul’ (our soul).
Though the whole world is in our hand, we have reached moon, mars, but, we are Aparichit (unfamiliar) to ourselves. We might pretend that we know ourselves better, but that’s the biggest myth many of us carry throughout our lives. If we know ourselves then why we are unhappy, restless, disturbed, weak, sad and miserable most of the time of our Life? It is obvious we don’t know ourselves. And the misunderstanding about us is the most damaging fact in our Life today.
Before
anything, let us come out of our body and consider ourselves as third person
and then answer to this question. "Who am I?" The answer is, I am a beautiful soul with lot of
positivity, never ending light and energy; I am the reflection of God. I am borderless,
limitless power house. I am you, your true self.
But, absence of that realization make us feel, I am the one, who is weak, incapable, not worthy. I am (my thoughts) the obstacle in my growth, happiness, success. I have all the capability to build or break my destiny. God does not interfere in our day to day actions.

In the busy Life today, we think
that we are only body or conscience and take care of them. To body we try to keep
it clean, decease less, glowing always. To conscience we try to keep it happy by
abiding by its instructions.
We say
that every one of us has two consciences, the one which is always right and the
other one which always look for immediate happiness and a very deceiving one.
Actually, there is only one conscience (unguided missile), the other one is our
Soul (a guiding light). We always deceive the Soul and never listen its voice
and dance to the beats of conscience. This is the reason for endless misery.
We limit
ourselves by saying, this is not possible for us, we are not worthy for it, we are
incapable of doing that, etc.., It is not due to our incapability, lack of knowldge, interest, rather it is
due to our laziness, lack of interst, profit, etc... at that moment. We believe that whatever we do, comfort and
immediate gain is utmost important for us. If we do not see either of these
things in any of our action, then it is useless, waste of energy from our point of
view, though it is within our wherewithal. We limit
ourselves by saying daily "I am week… I am week… The negativity is the most harmful
flow, It makes our belief strong and permanent. These things rule our thinking
and handicap us. day by day. negative thoughts and week soul will make failure and misery as reality.
The other
thing is we believe straight away what others tell about us. If our family
members/friends tell that not to indulge in something or I am not capable of doing
something, then immediately we believe it. Then it is not we, they(others) are
deciding our boundaries. We never think that even they might be wrong sometimes. We should stop denying or accepting things based on
how the world thinks about our decision or action.
We are not our emotions. Emotions are not our character. Even then we characterise people by their emotions and recognize them by their emotions. Though emotions like, anger, ego, jealousy, etc… are just reactions of the person at that moment, but we tell he is very arrogant, he is money minded, he is soft-spoken, etc… Then we our selves start telling something like, "I am short tempered, I cannot tolerate this, it is (like, getting angry) my nature, etc…" Repeatedly telling the same thing to ourselves make us feel that we are that emotion itself. If we start denying every time that we are a bunch of emotions, then we will successfully stop it after sometime. Then we be all together a new personality. We have that potential to deny the entire negativity and accept the positivity, but, we forgot our strengths. Are we doing justice to ourselves?

Another
important thing is, when we react ruthlessly to an action and keep justifying
ourselves every time, everywhere and before every one, then that becomes habit. We start beleiving that anyone in our
place would have reacted the same way. We try to prove others are wrong every time by putting these question. "Am I not human? He should know that I
get hurt, If not me then is he right in his action? etc…" By collecting opinions of our interst, we are denying our sense/soul. We should stop this
thinking pattern.
Last but, not least, Check whether our ego stopping our growth? Think judiciously. Most of us may not accept openly, but, that is true. The first step towards the improvement is acceptance of mistake and improving on it. We should stop blaming others and God for our mistakes. IWhen we say God is our father/motrher/guru then no father/motrher/guru will wish bad for us. God is guide and show right path. If we choose different then what he can do? Blaming others always is the biggest obstacle in purifying our thoughts and correcting our deeds.

Above all
this, we should not go to all those people, whom we feel, they can understand our
grief and who can sympathies us at that moment and provide a solution to our problems. The one who symathies at that
moment might be doing harm to our emotional strength by confirming our deed is
right, though it is wrong ideally. We should remember one thing that no one can provide solution for our
problems. It is we, who have to handle bravely. We should act tough and we will be tough. We should have
courage and inspire others with our actions. But always we should be considerate.
To handle
these personality traits and issues
- First of all we need to
develop solidarity to God and God within our Soul.
- We should think before
reacting. It will avoid many conflicts.
- We should be Soul conscious
always. This means checking our actions, words, efforts against the Soul.
If it permits then what we are doing is right, otherwise need to correct ourselves.
- Stop thinking we are weak. Weak doesn’t mean that we cannot carry 25 KGs. Weak means you do not posses the ability to handle situations.
- Every one of us wants to change the world and people around us, but, we need to understand that we are part of it. It is also true that unless we change, it is the incomplete change. Then changing ourselves is the first step and easy step we can adopt.
- As we spare time with family,
friends, relatives, TV, entertainment, etc… We should spare sometime consistently
for ourselves. During that time think about what happened in the whole day
and whether we did the right thing? Think about our hobbies, but avoid
visual and audio media. Try to connect to the Soul.
- Make a list of all your
weaknesses. A truly confident and enlightened person will note a weakness
and seek to methodically improve. Bear in mind that even the greatest and
most powerful people have weaknesses. Some are better than others in
hiding them.
- Never complain. Be known as a
positive, strong, energetic and enthusiastic person. Someone who complains
is cynical and always looks for the negativity in everything, will scare
people away and rarely will succeed at anything.
- Reaffirm I am a good person. I
am happy. I have all the strength to deal my problems. If I change, then
the world will change automatically!
- The most important thing is to remember that these are the qualities cannot be developed by anyone, all of a sudden. These need to be practiced, observed, monitored and tuned and tested till the End of Life with pure intention to improve ourselves.
Hope, now
we know ourselves better. We are no more Aparichit to ourselves. Let us try
to be the best, the one really we are, the beautiful Soul.

K.
